During Monday’s Nikki and Brie Show, WWE’s Chelsea Green spoke on if she and Matt Cardona are ready to start a family and Michael Hayes’ comments to Green during the second season of Unreal, when he told her that her job was to elevated talent such as Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton.
On wanting to start a family:
“I’m 35. I want to start a family. Matt and I have started this new era where, when we get annoyed with each other, it’s more like, ‘You need to change this before we have kids. You can’t be doing that.’ I’ll do it all the time. This poor man is so sick of it. I’m 35; I wanted to have kids five years ago before I came back, and we decided together that I would come back to WWE so that I wouldn’t have any resentment towards our future family and us. Now, I’ve done the thing [won the title], so if it happens, God willing, I would be so happy. I feel like 35 is such an amazing age and I’m only getting better.”
On Michael Hayes’ comments about her during Unreal season two:
“Poor Michael Hayes. He’s never going to live this down. Until the end of time. It’s going to be me in the history book with a little picture of him beside it. My number one opp: Michael Hayes. I’m not an emotional person at all. I also don’t hold grudges. In fact, I forget a lot of times; my girlfriends have to remind me, ‘You don’t like that person.’ I was so emotional that entire day. I had seen Michael Hayes and he had given me words of encouragement. On Unreal, I watched it and didn’t think anything of it. When I started getting flooded with texts, I changed my mind. ‘Oh yeah, that was kind of mean and rude.’ They’re putting you in this box when you’ve constantly fought to get out. When I went on the post-show, I was like, ‘I have to do this.’ Even though I don’t feel any type of way about it, I have to dedicate this win to him because I’m a petty queen. The fans need to that. That’s what they wanted to hear, whether I cared about it or not. They needed the moment of me saying it. Michael Hayes is such a good sport.”
Green confirmed on social media this past weekend, that she broke her orbital bone on Friday’s SmackDown in a match where she teamed up with Tiffany Stratton in a match against the Women’s Tag Team Champions – Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reed. Green reportedly broke the bone after taking a Rolling Encore.
