During an interview with Flagrant, Cody Rhodes revealed he has re-signed with WWE.
Though no details were given on the terms or length of his new contract with the company, the former Undisputed WWE Champion did reveal that he intends to end his wrestling career with WWE:
Forgive me if this is breaking news and please edit it if I’m not allowed to share, which is fine. I just re-signed with WWE, so I’ll end my wrestling career [with WWE]
Rhodes also spoke about his relationship with the company, and how it allows him to pursue outside projects such as acting.
Say I do have another project. Say I got two other projects, whatever it may be. I’m able to take a step away and I’m able to collaborate with WWE and I’m able to come back home.
Rhodes previously stated that his next WWE contract would be his last, which will bring to an end a run that began when he returned to the company for WrestleMania 38 in 2022.
When asked about the pay structure in WWE, Rhodes stated:
The wrestling economy is different now because there’s other places you can go wrestle.
The money in wrestling and sports entertainment is very good. And I feel like if you were my dad or any of these wrestlers we talked about on that list, you’d be shocked.
