Pete Dunne made a return to the independent circuit with a recent appearance at Attack Pro Wrestling, competing against Leon Cage in Cardiff, Wales.
The former NXT Tag Team Champion, who was last seen on WWE television in March 2025, spoke to the crowd after his win over Cage, thanking the fans for sticking with him:
Dunne’s absence has curiously coincided with the rise of luchador Rayo Americano, who has aligned with El Grande Americano in WWE and AAA since July 2025.
Meanwhile, Dunne himself has competed sporadically in independent promotions, particularly in events such as Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport.
