Deadline has reported that John Cena is set to star in the upcoming Fifth Season comedy film The Family Disappears alongside David Harbour.
The film, based on an original script by Brendan O’Hare with thriller undertones, follows an overworked dad returning from a work trip to find his family has disappeared and a mysterious newcomer has bought and moved into their home.
This marks the newest project on the slate for Cena, who stars in Matchbox: The Movie set to release on Apple TV on October 9.
The former WWE Champion remains busy with acting projects since his in-ring retirement in December 2025, following a loss to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
