WPXI 11 News in Pittsburgh is reporting that a local man is out tens of thousands of dollars from a scammer that impersonated WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley.
11 News notes information shared to them by Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning this week said the crime happened this past March. The report adds Troopers said that an unknown person or persons were portraying themselves Ripley and were able to get $42,700 from a 64-year-old man through their scheme.
The report concluded that a public information officer said the victim refused to cooperate with troopers’ investigation and that no arrests have been made at this time.
Ripley, who is currently sidelined while recovering from knee surgery, at the time of this writing has not commented on the scam.
