Fightful Select is reporting a source familiar with WWE events in New Orleans has indicated that WWE has placed a hold on the Caesars Superdome between March 12 through April 21, 2029.
Report notes the venue would not necessarily be used for WrestleMania festivities for the entire six-weeks, but adds that two-weeks of preparation time can be required for larger events, as the longer hold time gives WWE more flexibility for planning and locking in the exact dates.
Fightful Select concluded by noting that a company spokesperson reportedly stated nothing at this time has been finalized.
New Orleans previously hosted WrestleMania 30 back on April 6, 2014 and WrestleMania 34 on April 8, 2016. The city was initially set to host WrestleMania 42. However, WWE later announced the event was relocated to Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada for a second year in a row. Reports then indicated the move was driven by a larger financial package, site fees, and tax credits from Nevada. New Orleans then secured Money in the Bank 2026 that was originally scheduled for August 29 then pushed to September 6 and then pushed out again to October 10.
