POST Wrestling has reported that a Cook County Sheriff’s officer who worked off-duty security at an episode of Raw has sued WWE and Montez Ford over an unprompted moment that appeared on the live Netflix broadcast and promoted on WWE’s social media.
The lawsuit was filed on October 14 by Noel Lucas in the Circuit Court of Cook County, alleging 14 counts against WWE, Ford (legal name Kenneth Crawford), and company subsidiary Event Services, LLC including assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of the Illinois Gender Violence Act.
The moment, taking part during the Street Profits’ entrance at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, saw Ford giving the officer a “lap dance” before the World Tag Team Champions entered the ring for their match on July 6.
Though the moment has since been removed from the Netflix replay and official social media accounts, it is still easy to find online.

Lucas claims Ford danced toward him without warning and without his consent, and alleges that “members of the public recognized him from the videos of the encounter that had circulated on social media and mocked him, thrusting their hips in his direction, imitating the sexual movements” when he reported to work the next day at his full-time job at a courthouse.
The officer also claims that he suffered “humiliation, embarrassment, and emotional distress over the attention received from the clip, and that WWE used his image for commercial purposes in violation of the Illinoise Right of Publicity Act.
Lucas is asking the court to award him unspecified monetary damages, punitive damages, his legal costs, and to order that WWE and Crawford cannot use his identity.
A case management hearing is set for December 10.
