During Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Joe Tessistore and Wade Barrett announced that Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is being evaluated for knee injury she suffered while in Italy.
It was added, WWE will have further information regarding a return date after it is determined her response to treatment.
Ripley is no stranger to injuries. Last October, she suffered a legitimate broken nose while competing in a fatal-four way match at a Supershow in Japan. On the April 15, 2024 Raw, she was forced to relinquish the Women’s World Championship after suffering a real arm and shoulder injury during a backstage segment with Liv Morgan on Raw a week prior.
