During the WWE SummerSlam Post-Show, CM Punk addressed chants for Oba Femi by calling out The Ruler.
Coming off a win over Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship, Punk first turned to the crowd asking if they want Oba, responding that he wants Oba before adding:
Listen, Oba Femi without a doubt is the future. That does not mean that I am not the present, and be careful what you try to open underneath the Christmas tree, you may not like what you get. Oba is fantastic, my experience trumps his ability.
Oba hasn’t picked what champion he wants to go after. If he wants to wallow in obscurity, go after Roman. If you want to live under the bright lights, go after the real champ.
Femi, who won the 2026 King of the Ring Tournament, delayed his earned world title shot to focus on facing Brock Lesnar at the premium live event, defeating the former WWE Champion in the main event of SummerSlam Saturday.
