According to a recent post from WrestleTix, WWE is reportedly concerned over lower-than expected ticket sales for its biggest show of the summer – SummerSlam.
This will be the second year the event is held over two-nights. With less than a month away – and at the time of this writing, night one is currently at 22,069 tickets distributed and night is sitting at 23,809 distributed.
WrestleTix also notes the current set-up for both nights is 29,535. The has a capacity of 66,202 and is expandable to 73,000.
However, per a recent report from WrestleVotes, the dismal ticket sales have been a hot topic internally at WWE headquarters over the past month or so.
WWE recently reduced ticket prices for SummerSlam by 25 percent.
As of now the only matches officially on the card is Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Title against Seth Rollins, Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Title against IYO SKY and Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match.
