At the time of this writing, WWE has only announced one match for tonight’s SmackDown, which takes place from the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California.
Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax will square off tonight in an Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match Qualifier.
It is also expected there will be fallout from last weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event with Nick Aldis and Gunther, after Aldis cost Gunther an opportunity to be in what would have been a Fatal 4-Way for the Undisputed Title at SummerSlam.
In addition, fallout is expected after CM Punk and Cody Rhodes exchanged heated words and nearly came to a fight backstage after their tag team victory against Gunther and Sami Zayn at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Punk accidentally hit Rhodes in his left eye with the Undisputed title belt as he was leaving the ring following their post-match celebration.
SmackDown will air live on the USA Network in the United States and Netflix for international fans, beginning at 8:00 pm ET. Live coverage on Wrestleview starts at 8:00 pm ET.
