The city of East Palo Alto, California has honored Royce Keys, recognizing July 23 as “Royce Keys Day” for the hometown of the recent WWE signee thanks to a proclamation by Mayor Webster Lincoln.
Keys, who made his debut for the company at the Royal Rumble in January 2026, was recognized for his accomplishments in WWE and in his AEW run as “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, as well as his hometown pride and inspiration to the youth of the city:
Royce Keys serves as an outstanding ambassador for the City of East Palo Alto, exemplifying excellence, humility, perseverance, and community pride while demonstrating to future generations that greatness can come from any neighborhood.
Keys also received an Appreciation Award thanking him for all he’s done to represent his hometown.
The news comes as Keys is set to team with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa to take on Jacob Fatu and The Usos at SummerSlam, emanating from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2.
