According to WrestleVotes Radion on Fightful Select, WWE is hoping Rhea Ripley will be back by the fall of 2026.
It was also said there was a strong internal push within the company for Ripley to take the necessary time she needs to fully recover from her meniscus injury, as opposed to pushing through for SummerSlam.
Furthermore, Fightful has learned Ripley’s injury forced WWE to make changes to several creative plans, including the originally proposed championship match between Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair. It was also noted that Tiffany Stratton was originally scheduled to defend the WWE Women’s US Title at SummerSlam.
