On a recent episode of The Nikki and Brie Show, the WWE Hall of Famers discussed injuries with special guest Landon Dickerson of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nikki Bella revealed that she had suffered a thumb injury while executing a victory roll, causing her thumb to bend backward, recounting what led to the situation:
I was supposed to get my thumb done, and they never, and look at that. It’s just completely out. I have no feeling now in it.
I was literally in a match, and there’s this super quick pin… the victory roll. And so, if you’re a bad guy, the good guy jumps on your shoulders and quickly flips through your legs and flips you, but puts you in a pin. And if they don’t go quick enough, it’s almost harder.
And my opponent didn’t do it, but so as like, we’re going through, my thumb got caught, but she still was going through and had me pinned, and my thumb was still, like, way back there.. And I came back and it was, like, hanging, and I was like, ‘Oh, you know, doc, like, hey, yeah, my thumb.’ Like, ‘You’ll be fine.’ Still looks like it’s hanging. It is hanging. It never went back.
Nikki recently returned from an ankle injury that sidelined her for nearly four months, and has been feuding with Paige for “taking over her spotlight” in her absence.
