WWE Hall of Famer looks back on anniversary with ‘sadness’

Kevin Nash recently posted on Instagram, looking back on the thirtieth anniversary of the night the New World Order (nWo) was formed.

The Ocean Center, the venue that hosted WCW Bash at the Beach on July 7, 1996, put a graphic of the faction on its marquee featuring the trio that kicked it off: Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan.

On looking back on the night thirty years later, the WWE Hall of Famer noted the bittersweetness of the group’s impact with the loss of Hall and Hogan in 2022 and 2025, respectively:

Saw this on the marquee in front of the Ocean Center today. 30 years ago, we created a piece of magic. Today, I felt sadness. Scott and Hulk have moved on. R.I.P NWO

The formation of the nWo came after Hall and Nash left the World Wrestling Federation for WCW in early 1996, kicking off an angle that culminated with Hogan joining the duo to form the nWo.
