A new report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has noted that WWE’s interest in Disney predates the ESPN deal.
From an inquiry following TKO President Mark Shapiro’s comments about a potential partnership between WWE and Disney, it was found that “the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex has been discussed as a potential home for WWE events, festivals, and larger fan experiences.”
This comes after Shapiro stated that the companies were working on some special events bringing the two audiences together due to the focus on a family-centric audience.

A separate report looks back at a moment on WWE Raw involving Oba Femi and Bronson Reed.
During a segment between Femi and The Vision, Reed can be seen placing his foot on the back of the 2026 King of the Ring, prompting Femi to brush it away.
The moment reportedly led to backstage chatter, with some personnel said to be unhappy with Femi’s reaction.
Last but not least, it was reported that “no fewer than three NFL teams” have inquired about potential partnerships with Danhausen, which could include live appearances at NFL stadiums.
Citing a source within WWE, this comes as a response to the recent signee’s merchandise with the New York Knicks being “unlike anything the company has experienced with a talent generating crossover interest from professional sports organizations.”
Fanatics is also expected to run a Danhausen/NFL crossover at some point during the upcoming 2026 season.
