POST Wrestling is reporting the legal representatives for Janel Grant, Vince McMahon and WWE filed a voluntary dismissal of the suit with prejudice on Friday.

Pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1)(A)(ii), Plaintiff Janel Grant, by and through her undersigned counsel, hereby files this voluntary dismissal of the above-captioned action.  Plaintiff, Defendant World Wrestling Entertainment, LLC, and Defendant Vincent K. McMahon (together, the “Parties”) stipulate and agree that this action and all claims pled herein are hereby dismissed with prejudice, but without prejudice as to the Parties’ rights to pursue their claims and defenses in arbitration in accordance with their agreement to arbitrate.

POST Wrestling notes the filing was signed off by Grant’s attorney Ann Callis, as well as McMahon and WWE’s attorneys. McMahon is represented by Jessica Rosenberg of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and WWE’s legal counsel is led by Daniel J. Toal of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

It was further noted the voluntary dismissal still needs to be approved by the judge before transferring the case to arbitration.

Grant filed her lawsuit in January 2024 during Royal Rumble weekend. The suit alleged she was sexually assaulted, harassed and trafficked. Grant signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) two years prior to filing the suit. The initial suit included John Laurinaitis. However, he was dismissed after agreeing to turn over evidence to Grant’s legal counsel.
