The Associated Press is reporting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has been struck by a missile on Saturday.
WWE Crown Jewel at the time of this writing, is still scheduled to take place in Riyadh on Saturday, November 7.
AP notes that according to officials who spoke in the condition of anonymity due to not being authorized to speak to the media, said a missile struck a complex housing terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights at King Khalid International Airport with several people were wounded. It was added that ambulances were seen rushing to the scene.
The airport in the capital city of Saudi Arabia has been targeted multiple times in the week since a Saudi-led coalition launched a major military offensive against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the earlier attacks, including one this past Wednesday which took the life of a Sudanese national. There was no immediate Houthi statement as of Saturday.
AP further adds that at least 225 flights at the Riyadh airport had been canceled over the past 24 hours, according to flight-tracking site FlightAware.
