It was reported back on July 5 that Sheamus “swiftly rejected” a restructured deal with a reduction in pay and instead chose free agency over accepting the new contract. The next day, Sheamus appeared on the alumni section of WWE’s website.
On July 10, Sheamus under the name of S. Farrelly, took to social media to say goodbye to WWE after nearly 20-years with the company.
However, a new report on Sunday from Fightful Select indicates Sheamus remains under contract with WWE until October 1, 2026. The report isn’t clear if Sheamus had additional time added to his contract or what has it expiring later than it was initially believed to be.
Sheamus is a three-time WWE Champion, a one-time World Heavyweight Champion and the 2010 King of the Ring winner. He is now going by the name of S. Farrelly on his social media channels.
