According to The Hollywood Reporter, WWE and the major verticals company ReelShort have partnered to bring theatrics in the ring for an original live-action microdrama.
The report notes that two-well known vertical actors will pair Drew McIntyre, Joe Hendry, Jacob Fatu and others. However, this part of the project is under wraps. It was added that actors Marc Herrmann and Chase Mattson will also be involved in the project, appearing alongside the WWE talents.
“By bringing WWE Superstars into the ReelShort cinematic world, we are creating a new storytelling experience for the WWE Universe, while reaching a fresh audience with premium content on ReelShort’s innovative platform,” said Ben Houser, WWE head of original content and development in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
The drama is scheduled to start filming next month with a premiere date sometime this coming fall.
